Terms & Conditions

Participation

Little Jazz reserves the right to deny participation in our courses and events at our own discretion. Registering for a course or an event does not imply the right to participate in it.

Cancellation & Refunds

Registration is binding. After your spot in a course or event has been confirmed, cancellation is generally not possible anymore.

If you cannot attend an event or (part of) a course, even though your spot has been confirmed, please inform us via email to hello@littlejazz.fi. If there are weighty reasons, such as serious illness or injury, we may grant a (partial) refund.

In case a course or event needs to be cancelled from our side (either before or after it has already started) and that cancellation is not due to force majeure, you will be reimbursed for the services not delivered, such as outstanding classes.

Transfer

If your spot in a course or event has been confirmed, but you are unable to attend, it is possible to transfer that spot to another person if you find a suitable replacement. In such cases, Little Jazz reserves the right to judge whether someone qualifies as a suitable replacement.

Payment

Course and event fees have to be paid in full within 14 days of receiving the bill for them. In case of overdue payments, a payment reminder fee of 5 € per reminder may be applied.

Discounts

For select courses and events, discounts may be applicable (e.g. if you are unemployed or a student). In all cases, Little Jazz reserves the right to deny a discount if there are any doubts as to whether the necessary conditions are met.

Special Circumstances

It is important to us to be inclusive and to make it possible for people from all kinds of backgrounds to enjoy dancing. If you are on a tight budget or experience any other financial struggles that prevent you form attending a course or event, please contact us via email to hello@littlejazz.fi. We will consider your case and see if we can provide a separate discount or payment arrangements.

Missed Classes

If you are unable to attend a class in one of our regular weekly courses, you have the right to make up for that missed class by attending a class from another course in the same term, given that there is enough space and you satisfy the necessary course requirements.

It is not possible to make up for any other missed activities, such as parties or workshops.

Changes

At any time, Little Jazz has the right to make changes to teachers or locations for their activities. In particular, classes being taught by substitute teachers or at different venues do not constitute grounds for reimbursement. We will make such changes as deemed necessary to ensure that a course or event can take place and run smoothly.

Under special circumstances, such as when a teacher gets sick and no suitable replacement can be found, a class might get moved to a different date. If you are unable to attend that replacement class, you have the same right to make up for it as for any other missed classes. You are not, however, entitled to a refund.

Changes will mainly be communicated via email or the official website. It is the attendee's responsibility to check these channels for any last minute updates.

Health

Please do not to attend classes or events if you are feeling unwell. We trust that you will apply your best judgement when it comes to your health. In the same spirit, it goes without saying that you will take care of your personal hygiene.

In the interest of your own well-being as well as that of our teachers and other participants, Little Jazz reserves the right to deny you the participation in a class or event, if you are deemed unfit to do so — be it due to ill health or any other reason.

Equipment & Attire

Classes can only be attended in indoor shoes or socks. Using outdoor shoes on the dance floor is not permitted.

Code of Conduct

All participants at any of our activities agree to adhere to our Code of Conduct. Any violations are grounds for exclusion from current and future activities, and the offender is not entitled to any refunds.

Privacy

It is normal in classes to take video recaps at the end, and that sometimes, attendees are visible in them (e.g. in mirror reflections). If you do not wish to be visible in such recaps, it is your own responsibility to ensure this. It is, however, not permitted to take photos or videos during class without consent from the teachers and the other participants.

Class recaps or other recordings taken during activities organised by Little Jazz are for personal use only, and are not to be shared without the teachers' consent, as well as the consent of any other parties that are visible in them.

For select occasions or events, photos or videos might be recorded (e.g. by a photographer) and shared publicly, for example as part of Little Jazz's promotional material. You will be informed about this beforehand (e.g. by email or during signup) and have the right to opt out of being recorded.

For information concerning your privacy during the usage of our website, please check out our Privacy Policy.

Liability

While we will do our best to ensure a safe environment for everyone, Little Jazz is not liable for potential injuries or accidents during class or other events. Dancing is a physically demanding pursuit, and as such, comes with inherent risks. It is your own responsibility to ensure proper personal insurance coverage while participating in our activities.

Moreover, Little Jazz is not liable for theft or damages of personal items within class or event venues (including wardrobes, changing rooms, bathrooms, etc.).

In case you damage any property of Little Jazz or associated parties, you are to inform us about it immediately.
