Privacy Policy
Your privacy is of utmost importance to us, which is why Little Jazz tries to collect and store as little data about you as possible when using our website or services. The purpose of this document is to explain what data is collected, how it is used, and what your rights are.
Type of Data and Usage
Basic information about your browser (user agent), device, network (such as your IP address), as well as the specific requests sent to our servers may be processed and used to protect our infrastructure and services. This information is not used to identify or de-anonymise individual visitors, nor is it used for tracking or to analyse your behaviour while visiting our website.
The only other data that is collected and stored is what you provide yourself by submitting a form on our website (e.g. course signup, newsletter subscription, etc.).
Data submitted when signing up for a course or event is only used to organise those activities. In particular, your data might be shared with teachers or volunteers working for Little Jazz. It will only be shared with third parties if strictly necessary (cf. the section on Third Parties below), and will not be used for marketing purposes. Data associated with activities might be kept for bookkeeping purposes after the activities have ended, but never for more than two years.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address will be stored on the list of newsletter recipients. It is only used to send you newsletter emails, and for no other purposes. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any point using a link provided during signup and included in every newsletter email. When you unsubscribe, your email address will be removed from our database. However, it will still be included in any backups created before you unsubscribed. No backup is kept for more than two years.
Storage
All data submitted to or collected by Little Jazz is stored on our own private servers. Any remote backups are stored using strong encryption, so that they are effectively unreadable by other parties.
Third Parties
We try to avoid sharing your data with third parties as much as possible. We most decidedly do not share your data with any third parties for marketing purposes. However, some amount of data sharing is impossible to avoid.
Any emails sent to or by Little Jazz are accessible to our email provider, Proton Mail. This is an inherent flaw in the protocol underlying email, which is unencrypted. In particular, any party involved in the delivery of an email can potentially access it. Please consult Proton Mail's privacy policy for more information about the storage of emails and which data they have access to. Any communication is deleted after at most two years.
Your payment information (such as your IBAN) will be visible to our payment processor, Holvi, but it is not stored directly by us. Please consult Holvi's privacy policyfor more information.
